1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the AMZ Evaluator Lite browser extension ("the Extension", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. The Extension is operated and published by Extfy. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information we collect
The Extension is built to operate without identifying you. Specifically:
- We do not collect personally identifiable information. No name, address, phone number, or account credentials are gathered.
- We do not track browsing activity across the web or build any profile of your behavior.
- We do not transmit Amazon page contents to our servers. Analysis is performed in your browser.
- Optional email for feedback only. If you choose to submit a suggestion through the in-extension form and provide an email address, that email is sent only so we can reply. The email field is optional and you may leave it blank.
3. How we use information
Because we do not collect personal data, there is no profile, advertising audience, or marketing list to maintain. Any optional suggestion text and email address you submit are used solely to:
- Read and understand your feedback;
- Reply to you if you provided an email address; and
- Improve the Extension.
4. Browser permissions
The Extension requests only the minimum permissions needed to function:
- Host access to Amazon domains (amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, and other ccTLDs) — required to read the search results page so the Extension can compute averages and metrics. The Extension only runs on Amazon search result pages.
- Local storage — to remember your preferred analysis mode (Standard, PPL, KDP, Wingman) between sessions.
The Extension does not run on non-Amazon websites and does not access pages you have not opened.
5. Local storage
The Extension uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage / localStorage) to keep small preferences such as your last selected analysis mode. These values never leave your device.
6. Third parties
The Extension does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It does not sell, rent, or share data with third parties, because it does not collect data to share. The Extension does interact with Amazon's website to read the search results page you are viewing — Amazon's own terms and privacy policy govern your use of Amazon.
7. Suggestions & feedback
If you submit feedback through the in-extension form, the text and optional email are transmitted to our team for review. We retain feedback only for as long as needed to act on it and we do not use any contact details for marketing.
8. Children
The Extension is a business research tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Your rights
If you submitted feedback that included an email address and you would like us to delete it, contact us at the address below and we will remove the record. You may also uninstall the Extension at any time, which removes all locally stored preferences from your browser.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Extension or in legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Extfy website.
